A Must Read for Every Spirit-Filled Christian Jan 23, 2007
This book is one of Brother Hagin's best. It gets to the heart of motivation in ministry. Aptly titled, "Plans, Purposes, and Pursuits", this classic explores why many times God's will isn't being carried out on the earth. This a great book, but know ahead of time that some of the information in its pages is not without controversy. What you read may shock you.

I am a youth pastor. This book did change the way I "plan" and prepare church meetings.
Here are qoutes from the book I think are significant:
"As I was caught up in the Spirit with Jesus, He told me that He has a plan and a purpose for every meeting... Jesus said, "men make their own plans and then ask Me to bless their plans" (p41)
"If you pastors, for instance, will spend time seeking God and waiting on Him, you will know what God wants to do in your services" (p20)
Hagin explains also that it is not enough to have the right plan and right purpose from God, you must have the right motives as well
The book also notes the importance of REVERENCE ("fear of the Lord" basically) and that some ministers have fallen into sin by becoming money-minded (p70). "You can't use God's plan to raise money" (p69)
I highly recommend "Plans Purposes and Pursuits".
